I was able to get rather high res video playback as well,
in fact, an entire episode of the IT Crowd pulled from a usb flash drive

considering that the proc, and hdmi controller (the only really big IC’s onboard) go for less than 40$ together, im surprised there arent clones floating around in the wild..

i have seen this beagle board a while a go the first time. stil wonder why it is relatively pricey compared to std. pc mainboards. i guess economy of scale or do i miss another point here?
would have loved to see boxee on the beagle boards, but people have told me there is no way it will run on the board 🙁
Remember that the beagleboard has the RAM and processor already mounted onto the board compated to pc mainboards which are just the board. The OMAP processor on its own is priced at around $50 in volume so I think $149 for a complete computer is pretty impressive.
