Um, maybe not such a good idea from a safety standpoint. If you get thrown from an abruptly stopping bike with your fingers in those loops, you’re going to wind up with a high count of broken digits.
There’s a lot of delicate wiring in fingers that’s not so easy to fix when they get mangled.
I think its pretty clear that this is the MOST UNSAFE THING EVER
yet
its so damn cool!
which is why we blogged it
As a former bike designer I can say this is a horrible accident looking for someplace to happen. I can also say that I’d like the idea to incorporated into a set of brake levers!
Just google ,degloving, and you will get an idea of what is waiting for the person who rides that…… but I still want one.
Just thinking something round like a motorbike helmet (only a lot smaller) with padding would be a heck of a better idea?
If you like metal and the weapons thing why not jut get into the medieval armor / reenactment?
On the other hand having been a cyclist and given up because of cars I can understand wanting to carry something like this!
Do you have them on your pedals too? 😉
