Engineering Paradise…

Is this real?

Join Adafruit on Mastodon

Adafruit is on Mastodon, join in!

Stop breadboarding and soldering – start making immediately! Adafruit’s Circuit Playground is jam-packed with LEDs, sensors, buttons, alligator clip pads and more. Build projects with Circuit Playground in a few minutes with the drag-and-drop MakeCode programming site, learn computer science using the CS Discoveries class on, jump into CircuitPython to learn Python and hardware together, TinyGO, or even use the Arduino IDE. Circuit Playground Express is the newest and best Circuit Playground board, with support for CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. It has a powerful processor, 10 NeoPixels, mini speaker, InfraRed receive and transmit, two buttons, a switch, 14 alligator clip pads, and lots of sensors: capacitive touch, IR proximity, temperature, light, motion and sound. A whole wide world of electronics and coding is waiting for you, and it fits in the palm of your hand.

Have an amazing project to share? The Electronics Show and Tell is every Wednesday at 7pm ET! To join, head over to YouTube and check out the show’s live chat – we’ll post the link there.

Join us every Wednesday night at 8pm ET for Ask an Engineer!

  1. Almost as terrible as these:

  2. Is this really happening? THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING

  3. Yay! Love it!

  4. Oh dear god.

  5. lulz were had.

  6. the professor!

  7. Where can I get the MP3? Didn’t see it in iTunes.

  8. I just love Dr. John Cohn!

I have met him in a conference in Seattle in 2008 and loved his way of motivating kids into science!

  9. Just in case there’s anyone here who DIDN’T see John Cohn and his friends in The Colony on Discovery last year… go get the DVD. Some bits were anti-climactic, some were a bit overly dramatic, but the electrical and mechanical engineering of everything from showers to solar panels and water purification was pure genius.

  10. What was that thing he was spinning around that was shooting sparks?

  11. @10 Looked like a pair of sparklers on a string.

  12. Dr. John Cohn I love him! Pretty inspiring guy as an IBM Fellow in Burlington VT? Notice credits to all the IBM new hires. That is the actual place.

Watching him and Mad Dog they are “chips” off the same block.

The stupid thing is you can’t get jobs like that anymore. I am a EE and we used to have a club in Toronto “SPACE” Society for Prevention of All Cruelty to Engineers”. After the 90’s ended life became hell for a EE you are at the mercy of the Vulture Capitolist’s stupid schedules made by whim and offshoring EVERYTHING!

Want more fun Watch DAVE he is definitely for real.
