This is awesome!!! Is really cool to see that this physics is now used today for wireless power transfer!
Goes to show that there are very few new ideas
And of course any interesting project can be replicated with an Arduino and some hacking – a friend of mine has built his own version of this http://www.adafruit.com/blog/2010/04/30/device-shows-bus-location-1938/
Most of the time it shows where he and his wife are, but for the last UK Maker Faire he updated it to show where the Mersey ferries were 🙂
