WOW! That is amazing work for autonomous flight! I would love to see what this technology could do for competitions, it could be adapted to the underwater competitions for subs and easily take 1st place in all of them! Never seen anything move so fast and precise in free space!
Anyone know what hardware they’re using, what kind of software, etc? Their website has no details about this project.
I think you’re still safe – it looks like part of the trick is a roomfull of high-speed cameras watching the ‘copter.
Once they figure out how to mount the cameras on board and process the video there, you’d better keep your windows shut.
In the mean time, these look perfect for the set of the next spy-movie action thriller. Complete with menacing sound effects!
I liked it so much when I saw it friday that I built my own. It’s not autonomous yet, but give it time 🙂
