From the mail bag…

Letterswegetletters-1-1-1-1-1

I ordered a TV-B-Gone kit after seeing furrtek’s “TV-B-Gone Raid 7” video on Youtube, and having a bad experience at a bar with some ruffians watching UFC and being loud.

I already knew how to solder but hadn’t picked up an iron in about 8 years. I had your kit built in 30 minutes, and only that long because I painstakingly followed your excellent instructions, not wanting to waste a kit. It worked the first time I even bought extra TVBG PCB’s (they’re really really nice) and the USBTinyISP dongle so I can flash my own AVR’s.

Now I fix all kinds of stuff instead of throwing it away. I have a pile of game consoles I’ve fixed and done simple internal mods to.

I think more than anything, your kits showed me something that was missing in my life. It’s not so much that I learned something new, but that I re-discovered something I used to enjoy alot.

Wish me luck on my first perfboard TVBG’s after I run out of PCB’s. And after that, a Fusebox, and then maybe eventually a Wavebubble.
