Electronics Circuit Designer at Altius Space Machines – Adafruit Jobs Board

Altius Space Machines is a small “newspace” startup founded by the former propulsion and control system/software engineers at Masten Space Systems which won the Lunar Lander Challenge in 2009. We started a rapid prototyping company that will be building anything from sub-orbital rockets, UAVs, vertical landers, orbital launchers, to nanosatellites.

(Clarification: due to the aerospace nature of our work we can only hire US citizens or green card holders)

We are looking for an electronics hacker to take over all the electronics development and ideally also the hardware interface software. We are very small so this person must be a generalist that can work on any electronics project without supervision.

  • Responsibilities: Design of electronics circuits, PCBs, component selection, assembling and testing circuits, interfacing with sensors and actuators, high power electronics for driving valves and motors, radio frequency circuit design.
  • Qualifications: Hands-on experience on electronics design and development. Demonstrate the skills to take on all the responsibilities mentioned before.
  • Desirable: C, microcontrollers, or real-time systems programming experience

You will work hard but you will have a good time.
