INDUSTRIAL SAFETY VIDEO

Phil just got the stitches out of his thumb after a mishap with some robotic research. We’re considering having the entire Adafruit staff review this video (above) “Safety isn’t always easy”. Warning, this video is the most messed up thing you’ll ever see. Starts slow, then it’s all Cronenberg.

  1. While we’re on the topic of messed up safety videos, I found another one a while back about forklift safety (in german) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tqd4aPs5WTA It’s more comically disturbing than this one, but still pretty crazy.

  2. Uhh … speechless!

  3. I think I need to watch Twin Peaks now. Just to get my brain re-aligned to reality.

  4. That’s better (or worse?) than most gory B movies!

  5. That’s the goriest safety video I’ve ever seen. With a little extra work, it’d make a great horror movie. I sent it to my wife at work, and now she’s ignoring me. Win!

  6. Ouch…..really? I could almost feel the pain when the guy slid his hand along the top of the sheet metal. I think this should be required watching….maybe with the mute on….ha ha ha. Thanks!

  7. I normally hate training videos – but that one was great. I’ll be extra careful with the soldering iron. I promise.

  8. Agggh! I can’t get the images out of my head. While totally fake, it still hurt to watch. While I wanted to turn it off, I was sickly shocked and could not believe that I was watching what I was watching. Not sure if I was amused or just stupefied. I did not make it through even half. Had to turn it off after the wrench in the head and the steam shot to the face. Just too weird.
