The Primograf is a hand cranked drawing machine. It is a visual investigation of the harmonics between gears with prime numbers of teeth. Primografs are handcrafted from walnut, basswood, and brass. There are 6 gears and 4 rods which are all interchangeable for near infinite variations.

  1. I don’t know how the rods attach, but this seems like a reasonable approximation:

    6P3 * 4! = 6!/3! * 4! = 2880.
