Robot Orders a Scone in Mountain View, Ca.

“It’s gotta be some crazy google thing” – aaron…

A Robot orders a scone from Red Rock Coffee in Mountain View, CA. I’ve seen a lot of weird stuff in the Silicon Valley, but a good tipping robot takes the cake.

It’s a bot from anybots.com.

  1. I don’t know which though I should choose:
    -I want one!
-OMG they’re invading our planet already!

I suppose I want one so I’ll have a friend amongst them when they really invade us.

  2. Nice bot!
But, how long it can work without charging?

  3. HA! I love telepresent bots. I did something similar (coffee ordering) with an out the box telepresent/autonomous bot back in 2003 when Evolution Robotics still had their ER1 systems for sale. It was based on a framework that a laptop sat on for the ‘brain’.

It was easy and had all of the same functionality but THIS is really impressive if it were done from scratch!
What platform are they running on?
