That’s right gang, it’s PART FINDER FRIDAY! This week, Antistatic foam! If you want to ship chips around without them getting all bent out of shape, you’ll want a few sheets of this foam. You can cut it easily and sink delicate parts in that will provide ESD and mechanical protection. We like the 3/8″ for most usage, but sometimes for long leads 1/2″ is better.

Is this useful for covering a workbench? Or is there a better matte material somewhere for that?
This is mostly for shipping chips around. If you want something for the top of a workbench, you’re probably thinking of an ESD mat.
