Ciao: Arduino iOS app, Mike writes

I’m a first-time emailer, long-time reader. I did my first Arduino tutorials on Ladyada’s site in 2007, and I’ve been hooked since then. I wrote an iOS app find my Arduino over Bonjour and talk to it. It’s call Ciao, and the App Store approved it today. I hope you like it. You’re site (and store) has been very influential in my electronics development, and I really appreciate the hard work you put into it.

Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.

  1. Nice idea, but it does seem a bit expensive at $4.99? Will probably buy it though just to try it out.

  2. Looks good. I might just snag this. I don’t suppose it will work over the web since it’s Bonjour, though… Next version??

  3. I bought it. Works quite well
