The Bilibot is an open source robotics development platform based on Ubuntu and ROS. It combines the Kinect with the iRobot Create base and a computer that comes with all the the software installed to get your robot running. The Bilibot just became available for order a few weeks ago, but the response has been outstanding! To reward the developers who really add to the open source community, we are offering a rebate for up to $350 off the price of a Bilibot if the developers:
-make the source code available under a BSD or similar license
-make a video so others can see what you did
-make a tutorial so others can do the same
-collaborate with other Biliboters, but either getting their code running on someone else’s robot, or making an application that uses two robots together.
We’re really excited to see what the developers will come up with next!
