Marcin Jakubowski Talks About the Global Village Construction Set

At the beginning of the year, I posted up the promo video for the Global Village Construction Set. The project has been moving along steadily, and recently founder Marcin Jakubowski gave a TED talk, in which he talks a bit about his work and how far he’s progressed.

You can learn a lot more at his blog, here, and even contribute your skills to various aspects of the project (here’s one example).

Finally, I love this quote: “a newly relevant diy maker culture can hope to transcend artificial scarcity.”

  1. Oh cool! I sent in a link for the TED talk a month or two ago and wondered why it wasn’t good enough to make the blog… guess you just beat me to the punch! 🙂
