The Swarmanoid Project is working on designs for implementing a set of distributed robots. This video shows a set of eye-bots, hand-bots, and foot-bots going to work on a common bookshelf. This video won Best Video at the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence 2011 Video Competition. I can see why.
