When you get a call from the Swoosh to join them in Los Angeles for a special “super secret” event being hosted by Tinker Hatfield, it is difficult to say no. For that reason, we jumped a quick six hour flight from the East coast into the heart of West Hollywood with no sense of what the hell was coming. But once we entered the hotel, the hints came strong. The biggest being this Nike “black box” which contained these very familiar metal shield glasses emblazoned with “It’s About Time” on the temple arm. Take a wild guess as to what is coming “back” from Nike.
There was a DIY version of the Nike Back To The Future Shoes, we wonder if they’re going to make them and if they’ll actually contain electronics (motors, EL, etc)…
