NEW PRODUCT – Small Arcade Joystick

Arcadejoystick Lrg

NEW PRODUCT – Small Arcade Joystick! This snappy 8-way joystick beckons you to play with it! It is rugged, and not too large, reminiscent of a Pac Man arcade cabinet. Unlike the potentiometer-based 2-axis and mini thumbsticks, this joystick uses 4 snap microswitches so it’s good if you want a directional control but not the best choice if you want proportional output (that is, its either on/off not sensitive to small movement changes).

  1. This looks like it might be a 4-way or 8-way joystick. The plate on the bottom is usually for sticks that can be switched between the two modes by turning the bottom plate so that the center hole looks like a diamond or a square, for 4-way or 8-way operation respectively. Games like pacman require 4-way sticks and get confused if you can click diagonals. Usually you have to pick which mode you want and it isn’t convenient to switch without opening the panel. Just thought you might want to check the docs so your customers would know about the option if it exists.

  2. Bill, that’s right, it is ‘adjustable’ – we’ll make a note in the description!
