Effervo Particle System Version

Fun Kinect hack… Effervo Particle System Version 2 via HaD

This is version 2 of the Effervo particle system, an interactive digital life form that inhabits and explores the presence of a person in 3d space. Using a 3d camera and custom written software people standing within the installation are rendered by a swarm of particles which stream into the users body, playfully exploring their physical form.

This installation will be part of PauseFest 2011 in Melbourne, Australia with the installation being situated in the Melbourne Central Shopping Centre from the 7th-13th of November 2011.

Built with Openframeworks

Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.

  1. Reminds me of Lawnmower Man, when Jobe disintegrates the agents into swirling particles.
