Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.

  1. those are some insane robots. Do those have a 6dof imu? I saw that it mentioned that the winner was using an accelerometer…surprising not a gyro

We’ve been looking at using a gyro for basic PID stabilization at school

  2. How the heck do they do that????????!?!??!?!

  3. A gyro is used for controlling the turns and keeping the mouse running straight when needed. I am not sure that anyone has made real use of an accelerometer as part of the control system although several are trying.
