STOCKING STUFFERS FOR ENGINEERS – Mitutoyo – Absolute Digimatic Digital Calipers. We’re going to have a stocking stuffer-per-day post now until the holidays. Here is today’s suggestion!

HamRadio2008 writes –

The demonstration is of the Mitutoyo Electronic Caliper measuring SOT-223 component and 1 inch reference. Also a small voltage monitor that I added to a battery I use for microcontroller projects..

This tutorial is for the Mitutoyo digital calipers we carry in the Adafruit shop. They’re the best calipers one can get and we’re pleased to offer them. We’ve put together a basic usage guide here to help people get started…

  1. I see what you did in the first picture! 🙂

  2. These look like the Bees Knees! However, I have so far been accurate to at least 2 and possibly 3 digits with my $10 harbor freight digital calipers of the same size.

  3. Stay away from Harbor freight. I bought calipers and they are junk!

  4. I have a pair of both the Harbor Frights, and the Mitutoyos. Mitutoyos win every time. Those would be one heck of a stocking stuffer! 🙂
