Introduction to TI MSP430 Launchpad

Msp430-Experimenter Boards
Really good TI MSP430 Launchpad tutorial!

Stop breadboarding and soldering – start making immediately! Adafruit’s Circuit Playground is jam-packed with LEDs, sensors, buttons, alligator clip pads and more. Build projects with Circuit Playground in a few minutes with the drag-and-drop MakeCode programming site, learn computer science using the CS Discoveries class on code.org, jump into CircuitPython to learn Python and hardware together, or even use Arduino IDE. Circuit Playground Express is the newest and best Circuit Playground board, with support for MakeCode, CircuitPython, and Arduino. It has a powerful processor, 10 NeoPixels, mini speaker, InfraRed receive and transmit, two buttons, a switch, 14 alligator clip pads, and lots of sensors: capacitive touch, IR proximity, temperature, light, motion and sound. A whole wide world of electronics and coding is waiting for you, and it fits in the palm of your hand.

  1. I followed the link, and it lists the Launchpad board at about $4, and I looked back at this picture, and thought, "Whoa! Cool! Gotta get me one of those!!" but alas, the board that you have pictured above is the "Experimenter" board, a decidedly more advanced board than the Launchpad. The board pictured runs into the triple digits. Looks very cool, though.

Now it’s time for my colorblindness test again (resistor color code decoding captcha)

  2. Sweet link!

    Hey tastewar,
Every two weeks or so TI will come out with a discount on some of their development boards.

  3. There is a full forum around the MSP430 – 43oh.com

  4. Yeah, definitely not a LaunchPad. Might want to replace the picture with this one, http://processors.wiki.ti.com/images/thumb/a/ad/LaunchPad_wireframe.PNG/300px-LaunchPad_wireframe.PNG
