One of the primary tools we use when working with out laser cutter is AutoCAD 2008. We just found out that Dassault Systems, makers of Solidworks, has a pretty decent FREE substitute, DraftSight.
Although we have AutoCAD at the High School, we use DraftSight when the AutoDesk license server is down……which is quite often.
DraftSight lets professional CAD users, students and educators create, edit and view DWG files. DraftSight runs on Windows®, Mac® and Linux.
