Color ball – babies love LEDs

Here’s two tiny engineers-in-training (nice Ada Lovelace onesie!) playing with a color ball containing an Arduino, our RGB LED tape, and some other fun stuff. Full specs in the YouTube descriptionvia Facebook

Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.

  1. Thanks for the link 🙂

It’s really simple, but the source code is here if anyone wants it (public domained):
    http://pastebin.com/nuncvgpJ

It’s just mapping a clamped X accelerometer value to hue, then buffering to prevent it from being too squirrely.

    Also fixed the encoding: http://youtu.be/v5wv_bU2MCM
