New details about sunglass.io’s public release of their solid design collaboration, project management, and showcase platform via SolidSmack.
The 3D cloud collab fire keeps burnin’ hotter and today’s news is sure to stoke the flames. Sunglass.io started out as a simple way to share models online and was one of the first to bring in a WebGL-based, plugin-free approach to sharing CAD Data. They had a basic annotation tool at the time and a hint at an app ecosystem. After bagging 1.7 million in funding they introduced support for 45 3D file formats, VoIP support, cloud rendering and a public beta. Today, they’re breaking out of beta and deep into project collaboration with the claim of a “GitHub-like solution” for seamless collaboration and project management. Here’s a look.
