Check out this Engineer v Designer (EvD) episode featuring a founder of TinkerCad. I had the pleasure of corresponding with him frequently in my previous community management gig and always found what he is doing with TinkerCad extremely interesting.
You might have first heard of TinkerCad as easily approachable web-based CAD software, which is true, but that simplicity is the result of years of planning, honing, and learning from users — there is a lot of power humming under the hood there, so it is a great tool to add to your tool belt.
