One awesome product at CES 2013 is a virtual reality system created by Hungarian startup Leonar3Do. Leonar3Do’s technology opens a new dimension in human – computer interaction. It is an integrated software and hardware platform that offers a unique, truly immersive VR exprience in the sense that you are able to see and interact with your virtual objects in real 3D space.
Everyone knows about 3D printing could tell you that any average 3D modeling software has a steep learning curve. But with the new tool from Leonar3Do you will be able to model a 3D object, for example a car, in just one weekend.
Leonar3Do’s virtual reality system has four parts: The 3D modeling software, 3D glasses, eye-tracking sensors and the a handheld stylus-like tool(sort of tripod-esque pen), the Bird. The user uses the Bird to drag and shift the 3D model, choose different tools, colors and textures, dig or carve the figure, or add material to the form. The sensors and 3D glasses allows the user to manipulate 3D objects as if they were right in front of you. Once you’re finished with your 3D modeling, you can export your 3D model and print it using any 3D printer.

Stop breadboarding and soldering – start making immediately! Adafruit’s Circuit Playground is jam-packed with LEDs, sensors, buttons, alligator clip pads and more. Build projects with Circuit Playground in a few minutes with the drag-and-drop MakeCode programming site, learn computer science using the CS Discoveries class on code.org, jump into CircuitPython to learn Python and hardware together, TinyGO, or even use the Arduino IDE. Circuit Playground Express is the newest and best Circuit Playground board, with support for CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. It has a powerful processor, 10 NeoPixels, mini speaker, InfraRed receive and transmit, two buttons, a switch, 14 alligator clip pads, and lots of sensors: capacitive touch, IR proximity, temperature, light, motion and sound. A whole wide world of electronics and coding is waiting for you, and it fits in the palm of your hand.
Have an amazing project to share? The Electronics Show and Tell is every Wednesday at 7:30pm ET! To join, head over to YouTube and check out the show’s live chat and our Discord!
