According to the just-released Gallup-HOPE index for 2012, developing a world-changing invention is an aspiration shared by 42 percent of youth in grades 5-12. That’s good news. If you look at the curriculum every five years, the courses have all changed and they are totally different. One school that use to teach chip design doesn’t anymore because even some IVY league schools can’t compete with Intel or AMD. Elementary school has changed and they are making kids do a lot more reading because life is always changing and what we learn today may not be high tech tomorrow or what is in need. You are basically competing as a learner against high tech companies that are always changing and keeping up becomes expensive.
I believe that you have to have a master’s degree or doctorate degree and a lot of money to choose your products or you have to make it on your own but because people don’t want to lose everything, they don’t risk going into business themselves.
