With so much lazy journalism out there panicking the public with the sensational news that any ole desktop 3d printer can produce a lethal gun, it is nice to hear this piece from journalist Eric Molinsky that looks into the real facts of the subject. The piece features prolific maker and Adafruit community member Pete Prodoehl. (Oh, and me and my upcoming book on design for 3D printing as well!)
You may have heard about 3-D printing, a technological phenomenon that uses a robotic arm to build objects one layer at a time. As people get imaginative and create items in a one-stop-shop fashion, one more creation has been added to the printing line: gun parts.
