Woodskin is a composite material, developed and patented by our design firm. This highly flexible surface – a sandwich of Russian plywood and vinyl mesh – was created by a process of excavation with a CNC cutting machine. By dividing the rigid plan of wood into small triangle, the material is freed – able to be shaped as the maker desires. This approach renders a wooden surface malleable, not just for decorative purposes, but also as solid and functional covering system for interiors and design.
This material hold an endless potential to absorb ideas and possibilities that reflect the dynamics of the space they occupy. Recognizing this potential allows to re-conceive and re-build spaces inspired by the malleability of this elegant, durable and strong material.
