Raspberry Pi calculations replace mechanical engineering on 3D printer:
Standard 3D printers require significant mechanical structure to provide movement on the three axes. This alternative design uses radial arms with a minimum of mechanical engineering. The extra calculations required for the more complex geometry are provided by the Raspberry Pi computer.
