  1. Do you have any thoughts on why Digikey sells 5 classical music CDs? I can’t really come up with any plausible guesses other than they really over bought on some promotional material.

  2. Blaise Pascal

I don’t know what’s stranger, that Digikey stocks thousands each of CW1011-CD (Tchaikovsky and Liszt), CW1021-CD (Greig and Rachmaninov), CW1031-CD (Liszt, Volume 1), CW1041-CD Liszt, Volume 2), and CW1051-CD (Beethoven), all “manufactured” by DigiKey, or that they are out of CW5001-CD (Set of 5 Classical Music CDs).

  3. Here’s the link: Digi-Key’s founder Ronald Stordahl produced them.

    From: http://www.consonantworks.com/Artists/IndrekLaul.aspx

“All discs have been produced and released by Dr. Ronald A. Stordahl, founder of Consonant Works and Digi-Key Corporation”

  4. Another suspicious fun fact: The CDs’ label name (Consonant Works) is abbreviated as “CW”… As in “Continuous Wave”… As in, the transmission method used in code keyers, just like the original “Digi-Key”, the product for which the company was named!
