Unlike objects like a chair, within Second Life an avatars skin – which in a very profound way designates ones identity – cannot be modified, copied or sold. Users have to buy a new skin every time they want to change it. In this work Gaz not only critiques this simulation of the open market ideology operating worldwide. But, at the same time, provides more freedom to the identities.”
