EE Bookshelf: Signal Acquisition & Filtering on Simple Embedded Systems

filters_bd1b

I came across this post thanks to a post on my personal website (microbuilder.eu), and thought it was worth sharing this excellent introduction to basic signal conditioning and DSP filtering on simple embedded systems.  Holly does a great job of introducing some of the issues involved in getting analog signals into the ADC on your MCU, and deciding what to handle on the analog side and what’s better off being implemented with digital filters, comparing IIR and FIR filters, etc.
