Hate to badmouth Sparkfun but there is some truth to what this rant says. Seeed isn’t that bad though they have some good custom shields. It just takes forever to ship here that is all.
So much hate, mixed with a bizarre undercurrent of nationalism (“pervasive offshore ‘ICK!’ smell”?). Shouldn’t we strive to lift the dialog above this level?
I order regularly from all three places, since all three fill a slightly different “niche,” and I’m happy to support three businesses founded and run by makers with such a passion for what they’re doing.
