Near the end of Cortlandt Alley where Tribeca muddles into Chinatown and Soho, a secret museum has opened in an abandoned freight elevator shaft. Alex Kalman (son of cartoonist Maira Kalman) and brothers benny and josh safdie (nephews of architect Moshe Safdie) of red bucket films collaborated on the museum, a venture to show the mundane and the strange together in an exhibition space. via designboom.
