I’ve been conscious of not posting for a while, so felt the need to rush this video out before my next trip out the country. So here we have a couple of things I’ve been experimenting with recently, in the shape of an MPU6050. The MPU6050 is a combined gyroscope and accelerometer, which I’ve combined with an Adafruit 2.2″ tft display to make a rudimentary g-meter.
2.2″ 18-bit color TFT LCD display with microSD card breakout – HX8340BN – This lovely little display breakout is the best way to add a small, colorful and bright display to any project. Since the display uses 3-wire SPI to communicate and has its own pixel-addressable frame buffer, it can be used with every kind of microcontroller. Even a very small one with low memory and few pins available! (read more)
