via designboom, Zhang Biqing, an acupuncturist and owner of several clinics has slowly (and illegally) been constructing a mountain-like cavern atop a 26-story modern Beijing apartment complex. Complete with winding pathways on a “rocky” terrain, thick foliage and a series of cave-like rooms, the authorities recently deemed the approximately 1,000 square meter (almost 10,800 square feet) apartment uninhabitable and unless Biqing can prove it structurally sound in the next two weeks, it will be demolished. It was nice while it lasted.
