Open Fit is a project from Lisa Kori and Kyle McDonald: open source software that investigates several approaches to generating custom tailored pants patterns. Open Fit Lab is an experiment using this software for on-the-spot generation and creation of custom clothes. Over two hours we created six pairs of pants using an assembly line that included a 3d-sensor-driven measurement system, projection-based cutting station, and multiple seamstresses working in parallel.
