Raspberry Pi and Arduino running the animatronics in Santa Land at Woodbank Nurseries. Thanks to James from the Adafruit Google+ community for the tip!
A bit of practical IT, both the Animalistics and Santa’s Workshop are run by their own Raspberry Pi and Arduino controllers. I used the Pi to handle the sound and the Arduino to control their 9 servos and lighting. The program reads a list of values from the SQL database which i loaded from an Excel sheet. Background music is played until the button is pressed. Santa Land is on over christmas at the Woodbank Nurseries near Harden, UK.
