The Raspberry Pi 3d scanner (39x) at Makerfaire Groningen @RaspberryPi #piday #raspberrypi

Richard Garsthagen writes:

At makerfaire Groningen I put my 3d scanner to the test. We scanned over 200+ people. The setup uses 39 Raspberry Pi + camera units. They all listen to a network broadcast to fully synchronized take 39 photos. The photos are then uploaded to a local SAN for further processing. The 3d modeling is done using the free cloud service from autodesk called Recap (recap.autodesk.com).
