Frontend Developer for Electronic Parts Search / Adafruit Jobs Board

Octopart is looking for an experienced frontend developer who is also interested in the problem of electronic parts search. Ideally we’re looking for a JavaScript expert who is also a hardware hacker.

Octopart, http://octopart.com has the leading API for electronic parts search, http://octopart.com/api and we’re working to improve our search interface and BOM lookup tool to take full advantage of the API.

We’ve recently rewritten the current search interface in AngularJS so some experience with Angular is a plus, but not required. In addition to being a JavaScript expert, you should be at least familiar with Python.

We’re a team of 9, we’ve been profitable since 2010, we’re based in NYC, and we’re committed to building the best platform for electronic parts data in the world.

Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
