Hack Our Tree! Live Visualight WiFi-enabled Christmas Tree Scene

Hack Our Tree 2

Joe Saavedra from IncredibleMachines shared their holiday project online with the world:

Check out our WiFi-enabled LED installation in our office, went live today. Use the web interface to control the lights on our tree. It’s become a little distracting in here, but so far the response is great. Let us know what you think!” Thanks for sharing this project!

Take a visit to the Treeeee and re-stripe the lights in the color of your choosing:

As a special holiday treat, we decided to gift the Internet real-time control of our office tree. We have been decorating with Visualight, our in-house WiFi-enabled lighting platform.

Have fun hacking our TreeeeeTMMMMM and keeping an eye on our growing army of MakerBot elves as they print ornaments and Visualight enclosures.

Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
