Dear Phil and Lady Ada –
I want to thank you very much for your mention of my new startup, www.smallbatchassembly.com on the adafruit blog and Ask an Engineer…
While I was developing my business plan, your company was an inspiration and model. The fact that companies like Adafruit and Sparkfun were so open with their business processes were priceless resources. I read Lady Ada’s pick and place wiki page many times, and the smt forum was very helpful also.
I hope to give back the good karma by operating my business as openly as possible..
PS) Here’s a gratuitous animated gif of my modest little Manncorp MC-400 pick and place in action..
Adafruit has had paid day off for voting for our team for years, if you need help getting that going for your organization, let us know – we can share how and why we did this as well as the good results. Here are some resources for voting by mail, voting in person, and some NY resources for our NY based teams as well. If there are additional resources to add, please let us know – adafruit.com/vote
