GRID – Monumental Kinetic Light Installation

Christopher Bauder’s kinetic light installation, GRID for the 2013 Festival of Lights:

Located in the heart of the Hôtel de Région Rhône-Alpes, GRID combines light and movement correlated with the choir singing 45 Concert Hostel God and electronic notes Robert Henke. Forming straight lines, diagonals and diamonds, GRID comes alive with the rhythms of contemporary sounds of two musical groups:

– Concert of Hostel God whose choir will perform The Immortal Bach, arranged by Knut Nystedt and directed by Franck-Emmanuel Comte
– Robert Henke, German artist, noticed on the international electronic music scene since the 90s and founder of Monolake.
