Our house is a roughly 120 year old apartment building with a radiator based central heating system. There are exposed riser pipes which distribute the hot water from the boiler in the basement to the radiators and the apartments above us. This is the place where we can connect the heater temperature sensor, as it will show the feed temperature, regardless of whether the radiator in the room is turned on or off.
