Spooky Faun Costume from Pan’s Labyrinth

Pan’s Labyrinth is a dark fantasy, and one of the creepiest elements of the story is The Faun. Cosplayer Melanie Colley did a tremendous job at bringing the creature to life. Her process photos show she poured a lot of effort into the outfit. For the impressive mask, it looks like she started with a base of construction paper and cardboard; she then covered it with clay. It appears as though she used an air dry variety. She fashioned the chest piece and shoulder pieces from cereal and soda boxes. The swirling colors of the body suit were painted by hand. Photos at Melanie’s Cosplay.com page tell the entire story.
