It Takes 250 Yards of Ribbon to Make Katniss’ Wedding Gown
Many of the costumes seen in The Hunger Games films are elaborate, and Katniss Everdeen’s wedding gown is one of the most magnificent. RPF user EvilOverlord wanted to take on the challenge of making the dress so badly that she looked for an excuse to make one and ended up building the dress for a friend’s daughter. She started with crinoline and built upwards from there with tulle and ribbon. She crafted the cage decoration from Instamorph and painted it. At the end of the project, she used 600 crystals, hundreds of yards of ruffles, and 250 yards of ribbon for the dress. The craziest part is that she made this costume in less than a month!
