Iris ArduCopter 3.1.4 Released #drone #droneday

Major improvements to Iris firmware released!

• Autotune of Roll and Pitch gains
• Drift mode
• Arming, Take-off, Land in Loiter or AltHold
• Safety Improvements:
• GPS Glitch detection
• Motors spin when armed
• crash detector shuts off motors if copter flipped for 2secs

To install:

Download APM Planner on mac or windows

Click on the MissionPlanner’s Initial Setup >> Install Firmware screen. The version numbers should appear, then click the appropriate frame icon and it should upgrade as usual!

After updating you will have to recalibration the compass. Make sure you take your time and get a full globe of dots when calibrating, it can take several tries.
