This winter, my son and I created a remote control cooler that will open and deliver bottled beverages. We are using an Arduino Mega board with 2 Adafruit motor shields mounted to it to run 3 linear actuators, an electromagnet, a stepper motor, and 2 servos. Also showing off a couple of other cool-er accessories for our remote control robotic cooler.
