Ultimate Maker Dad Builds Kid’s Interactive Spacecraft Bedroom
Adafruit customer, Jeff Highsmith, built a child’s dream come true interactive Kid’s Room Spacecraft to go with his earlier Mission Control Desk. video via Makezine
I built a spacecraft to go with my Mission Control Desk
Four months, much building, and many parts (most from
AdaFruit) later, we now have a spacecraft. It has a motorized hatch that
opens for deployment of payloads with the RC robot arm. It features many
displays of various types, all sorts of switches and knobs, and very
convincing sound effects, thanks to the bass shaker under the astronaut’s
back. I’m excited to see where my boys’ imaginations will go with it.
Thanks again for the great selection, and service, Adafruit, your the first
stop for home spacecraft builders everywhere.
